The Cine Líbero Luxardo promotes, at 7:30 PM, this Monday (23), a free screening of the Pará short film “Absence”, a drama and fiction work directed by Kako Tenório and Fabiano Nascimento. The short film dives into reflections on the fragility of family relationships and was selected by the Audiovisual Public Notice of the Paulo Gustavo Law.
The plot revolves around Júlia, played by Agatha Silva, who sees her day restart every time she crosses the door of her house. However, with each repetition, a member of her family disappears as if they had never existed — and only Júlia remembers them. With this time-loop structure, the short film addresses themes such as lack of communication and emotional distance within the family unit.
Conceived by Fabiano Nascimento, the short film had a team made up of about 38 students from the fields of cinema, communication, and arts. The project was born in the classroom during the first semester of the Filmmaker course at the University of the Amazon (Unama).

Encouraged by professors who saw potential in the idea, the script was developed and later funded through the Paulo Gustavo Law, becoming an official production.
Fabiano is currently a student of Cinema and Audiovisual at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), and co-directs alongside Kako Tenório, also a graduate of Unama and winner of the Osga University Video Festival. The visual references for the film ranged from Brazilian realism in “What Time Does She Return” to the fantastic universe of “Coraline”.
