Belém hosts Meeting of the Tax Server Development Group
Event brings together officials from the country's finance secretariats and discusses strengthening people management
The 91st Meeting of the Tax Server Development Group (GDFAZ) began on Wednesday (11) and will continue until this Friday (13) in Belém. The event was opened with a keynote speech by the Secretary of Finance of Pará, René Sousa Júnior, on the topic "Current Stage of Tax Reform." The secretary addressed the challenges faced by States and Municipalities in implementing the new Goods and Services Tax (IBS) and also spoke about the creation of the Management Committee, which will manage the collected resources.
The program continued with the representative of the State Planning and Administration Secretariat (Seplad) and the state committee of the Committee for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30), Brenda Rassy Maradei. She presented the actions and legacies of the global event, with the lecture "COP 30" – Pará in the spotlight.
The event also addressed the Integrity Sefa project, aimed at strengthening transparency and ethics in public administration. Until Friday, topics such as Sustainability in People Management with a Focus on Mental Health; Sustainable Workforce Planning; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Quality of Life, Climate, and Engagement; Innovation and Data-Driven Management; and Awareness on climate issues and fiscal sustainability will also be discussed.
The meeting will conclude on Friday with a lecture on Sustainability in People Management, featuring Luciana Ferreira, coordinator of the Sefa Innovation Laboratory, and the participation of the GDFAZ Thematic Groups on Communication, Training, People Development, Innovation in People Management, and Institutional Diagnosis.
The Tax Server Development Group (GDFAZ) advises the National Tax Policy Council (Confaz) and works to strengthen and improve people management in tax administrations, as well as to provide an exchange of experiences, solutions, and management systems.
