With almost 100% of the services completed, the extension works of Tancredo Neves Avenue in Goianésia do Pará, carried out by the State Government, will bring more quality of life and mobility, one of the main benefits for those living in the area. The work is highly anticipated by Moisés Sousa, a resident of the city, as he himself highlights, it reaches drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and everyone who needs to travel along this route to reach their destination.

“This extension is of great value to our city. Before, it was a very dangerous road, and with the progress of the works, today, thanks to God and the caring attention of the Government, safety is a priority. A score of 10. Goianésia do Pará has been very privileged,” celebrates the resident.

The work includes a total of more than 5.5 kilometers of asphalt paving, in addition to services for surface and deep drainage and horizontal signaling. The partnership between the Municipal City Hall and the Government provides for the paving of the avenue with 2.8 kilometers of asphalt in the Tancredo Neves stretch towards Goianésia-Belém, and another 2.7 kilometers towards Belém-Goianésia. An investment of over R$ 11.8 million.

"The extension work of Tancredo Neves will promote significant improvements in the urban infrastructure of the municipality of Goianésia do Pará. This initiative will bring more quality of life to the population by reducing respiratory problems caused by dust, increasing the efficiency of urban waste collection, and enhancing traffic safety," highlights Leonardo Bello, director of Monitoring Agreements at the State Department of Public Works (Seop).

For the seller Francivaldo Carvalho, a resident of Goianésia and owner of a store in the area for three years, he recalls suffering from mud and dust, especially during the hotter periods, and now, with the work, the scenario will change for the better. “Our lives have improved a lot with this asphalt, practically 100% benefits. One of the highlights is the increased value of the land in the region. I can only thank, the State Government and the City Hall deserve congratulations for this work,” he concludes.
