After weeks of learning, dedication, and exchanging experiences, 45 students completed the course 'Strategies for COP 30' and received their certificates on Wednesday (21), at the Social and Professional Unit of the ParáPaz Foundation, located in the Fátima neighborhood of Belém.

The training was aimed at the opportunities that will be generated by COP 30, an international event that will be held in the city in November, and aimed to prepare participants from 15 years old, prioritizing people in situations of social vulnerability or those seeking professional qualification, entrepreneurship, and income generation.

During the classes, which took place in morning and afternoon groups, students worked on essential topics such as Basics and Practices of Entrepreneurship; Strategies and Practices applied to COP 30; Communication, Interpersonal Relationships, and Public Service; Resume and Interview; Environment and Sustainable Development.

The teachers also applied group dynamics, collaborative activities, simulations, case studies, and project development directly related to the context of COP 30 and the local market. Housewife Rosa Helena de Souza, 53, received an offer to manage a hotel in the Mosqueiro district during COP and decided to get trained to be better prepared.

“I felt insecure, but now I am confident with everything that was covered and what the teachers taught. What caught my attention the most was the part about tourism, because we need to know our city to be able to talk about it. I loved this learning,” she said.

At 17, student Sofia Marques runs a makeup business online and says the course opened many opportunities for her, as she hopes to put into practice everything that was taught in class. “I really enjoyed participating; it definitely brought more learning to my life. I have a lot to evolve, especially in what I didn’t know about entrepreneurship, but I will leave more confident.”

At the ceremony, which was attended by coordinator Beatriz Lopes and teachers Douglas Sarges and Leonardo Gurjão, the president of the ParáPaz Foundation, Alberto Teixeira, highlighted the importance of the teacher and knowledge in the students' lives.

“The most important figure is the teacher because he shares his knowledge with others. Doing a training is much more than simply learning; it is overcoming challenges. Many people have to give up other activities during the week to be in the classroom, intending to improve their knowledge, strengthen their resume, and secure their job. Knowledge is the best alternative for our lives because it is something that no one can ever take away from us,” pointed out the manager.

New classes – Registrations are open for the course 'Strategies for COP30', a more compact training lasting one month. Throughout the course, students will have access to content on interpersonal relationships; strategies for COP 30; public service; professional posture and public speaking.

Classes are scheduled to start in June, and registrations must be made in person at the ParáPaz Social and Professional Unit, located at Av. José Bonifácio, 267, from 9 am to 12 pm. It is necessary to present an original photo ID and proof of residence. Spots are limited.

This was the second course held at the ParáPaz Professional Unit aimed at COP 30. The first, 'Professional Training with an emphasis on COP 30', was held in January and trained 45 people.
