Adolescents served by Fasepa receive certificates from the Capacita COP 30 Program
The Stock Clerk course was offered by Sectet, in partnership with the Pará Socio-Educational Assistance Foundation, contributing to give protagonism to the assisted youth
The State Secretariat for Science, Technology, Higher Education, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet) and the Pará Socio-Educational Assistance Foundation (Fasepa) held, this Wednesday (14), in Ananindeua (Metropolitan Region of Belém), the certification ceremony for eight socio-educational students in the Stock Clerk course, offered by Sectet as part of the Capacita COP 30 Program.
An initiative of the Government of Pará, the Program qualifies people interested in working, directly or indirectly, in sectors that will have increased demand with the holding of the World Conference on Climate Change in November. This is the third group of young people completing socio-educational measures certified by "Capacita COP 30", totaling 30 young people already certified.

“We are here having several opportunities that we didn't have outside. With this stock clerk course, I understood that everything in life depends on the control of stocking something. It starts right at our home. I can only thank for the opportunity,” said one of the residents of the Socio-Educational Assistance Unit (Uase 3), who has been serving a measure at the location for three months and has already earned two certificates.
The "Capacita COP 30" also represents hope for a future for youth starting their professional lives. “We see them in a new beginning, with the whole world ahead of them,” declared Helenice Rocha, manager of the Socio-Educational Assistance Unit.

Transforming lives - The coordinator of Fasepa, Kátia Porfírio, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Foundation and the Secretariat of Science and Technology. “The partnership with Sectet is essential. Through it, we can offer courses for our adolescents. Courses that can improve their living conditions and those of their families. They become the protagonists of their own story through the completion of these courses, the finishing and the realization of the job market after fulfilling the socio-educational measure,” reiterated Kátia Porfírio.
“A good experience, an opportunity that we can only be grateful for, a learning experience for our lives. Learning new things is always good. Embracing this opportunity that was given to us because it can greatly transform our lives. We, who are already reaching a decisive age for our future, need to think about what we want to do, invest in the future, look for a field of work,” said another adolescent assisted by the Unit.

Opportunity - The coordinator of "Capacita COP 30", Andrey Rabelo, highlighted the democratization of the Program by bringing the offer of courses to areas or people with difficulty accessing professionalization.
“The Program deals with education, and education is transformative. From the moment we take this process to people on the Island of Combu, to socio-educational students, to taxi drivers who left school more than 30 years ago, we are democratizing and giving the entire population of Pará the opportunity to be ready for new job opportunities. We are not only talking about certificates but also about life transformations. I have great satisfaction in seeing lives being transformed at each of these moments we participate in. In this specific case, of the partnership with Fasepa, it is important to say that for these young people, despite not being in full freedom at a certain moment, education can indeed transform the path of each of them. It is part of this partnership, together with Sectet, to ensure that the Capacita COP 30 Program reaches all places,” emphasized Andrey Rabelo.
Qualification - The Government of Pará achieved, in one year, 22,000 certifications through the Capacita COP 30 Program, which offers free qualification and professional training courses in the areas of tourism, gastronomy, infrastructure, and security. The initiative prepares women and men to work in the job market and seize opportunities with the realization of COP 30 in November this year in Belém.

In addition to continuing the offer of courses, the Government of Pará is working on creating a platform to connect certified individuals with companies interested in hiring this specialized workforce.
The platform will be a kind of resume bank, receiving registrations from those who qualified through "Capacita COP 30". At the same time, companies in the tourism, hospitality, services, and gastronomy sectors will be able to select and hire professionals. The technology will be available in the coming weeks.
