More than 47 thousand fans witness Clube do Remo's title at the Parazão Banpará final, at Mangueirão
Large crowd celebrates Pará football on Mother's Day, in a match that featured enhanced security, a peaceful atmosphere, and the launch of the new visual identity of the Visit Pará program
The Mother's Day Sunday was marked by emotion, celebration, and a record crowd at the Estádio Olímpico do Pará – Jornalista Edgar Proença, the Mangueirão. More than 47 thousand fans attended the final of the Parazão Banpará 2025, between Clube do Remo and Paysandu Sport Club. In an electrifying classic, Remo secured its 48th state title after winning on penalties 6 to 5, crowning the campaign with massive support from the blue fans.

After winning the first leg 3 to 2, the Blue Lion saw Paysandu equalize the score in the return leg, with a penalty goal scored by Rossi in the first half. The aggregate tie led to penalties, where Remo came out on top and secured the trophy.
Celebration of culture and peace
Vice Governor Hana Ghassan highlighted the festive and peaceful atmosphere promoted by the fans at the Novo Mangueirão. “I congratulate the clubs for this beautiful celebration, which values Pará culture and strengthens our identity. Being here is to experience sports as an instrument of peace, joy, and development. Congratulations to Remo for the title and to the fans for the celebration,” she declared.

The Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, also celebrated the success of the match. “It was another great event at the Novo Mangueirão. We had an exciting classic, marked by the presence of many families, especially mothers, who could celebrate this special date watching a spectacle of our football,” he stated.
The emotion of the fans
Players and fans celebrated the blue title with intensity. Midfielder Caio Vinícius praised the team's perseverance. “We crowned a great struggle with this title. I thank God, the fans, and the group that fought until the end. Let's go, Lion!” he declared.
Physical Education teacher Wanderson Lucas summed up the blue emotion: “We had been without an expressive title for three years. Today is a day of pride. The stadium was full, with security, joy, and respect. A title to go down in history.”

On the bicolor side, even with the result, pride was also present. “It has been wonderful to participate in this final. The expectation was for a title, but the celebration was beautiful. Happy Mother's Day to all bicolor fans and also to Remo fans,” said fan Evyllen Martins.
Government of Pará launches new identity for Visit Pará
The final was also the stage for the launch of the new visual identity of the Visit Pará program, promoted by the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur). The initiative aims to strengthen the promotion of Pará as a vibrant tourist destination, leveraging the visibility of the biggest classic in the North to reach regional and national audiences.
Match details
The first half was balanced, with chances for both sides. The goal for Paysandu came in the 7th minute of the second half, from a penalty converted by Rossi. Remo had the chance to equalize, also from a penalty, but goalkeeper Matheus Nogueira saved Adailton's shot.
In the penalties, Pedro Castro missed the first for Remo, followed by a miss from Benítez for Paysandu. Both teams converted their remaining kicks, leading to alternating penalties. Marcelo Rangel saved Dudu Vieira's shot, and it was up to Reynaldo to convert the last penalty and seal the blue title: 6 to 5.
Upcoming challenges
Clube do Remo returns to the field next Wednesday (14), at 7 PM, at Mangueirão, against Vila Nova, for the 7th round of the Série B of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Paysandu will face América-MG away, at Arena Independência, at 7:30 PM.
