The 169th unit delivered restructured by the State since 2019, and the second in less than a week, the Lucíola Brasil State School of Elementary and Secondary Education will benefit more than 220 students

In less than a week, the Government of Pará, through the State Department of Education (Seduc), delivered another school, reaffirming the priority of investments in the advancement of public education. The Lucíola Brasil State School of Elementary and Secondary Education, located in the Fazenda community, municipality of Colares, in northeastern Pará, was built to benefit more than 220 students, in the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
"I am very happy to be in the Fazenda community, delivering this school that has been awaited for so long, and that today becomes a reality. And being able to return a school with structure, and that offers the best for students to have quality education. And we will invest much more in the municipality, so that it can develop economically and with the quality education we are bringing to the entire State," emphasized Governor Helder Barbalho at the delivery ceremony.

"The Lucíola School becomes complete, with everything a school needs, where our students will have an even better space. And we will plan for it to be full-time and offer technical courses as well. Education has been a priority in the State of Pará, especially by the governor, because we are working to complete all the works that were stalled in past governments, and that Governor Helder took on as a mission to solve this problem; and we are delivering. There are already 169 works delivered, and there is much more just in education. And thus, Pará has become the state that has grown the most in Brazil. We went from 26th to 6th place, the highest growth in Brazil. And I cannot fail to thank our leader, Governor Helder Barbalho, who has been investing in our education. We will continue to advance in the State," highlighted the State Secretary of Education, Rossieli Soares.

Structure - The school community now has a climate-controlled, spacious, and comfortable space, with a covered courtyard, five classrooms, a computer lab, rooms for Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE), reading rooms, and teachers' rooms, kitchen, pantry, male and female changing rooms, and bathrooms, including for people with disabilities (PcD). An investment of over R$ 2.2 million to provide quality learning for students.

"The feeling is one of gratitude and achievement. Having climate-controlled classrooms, a computer lab, and a cafeteria to have our meals is very gratifying. Thank you very much, Governor, Vice Governor Hanna, and Secretary Rossieli. We are very grateful," expressed 3rd-year student Tatiely Pereira.
Transformation - Portuguese teacher Manoel Nazareno Ferreira, who has been teaching for 33 years at the school, said that a school with a new structure increases the quality of teaching for students, also benefiting teachers and other education professionals.

"Since I have been at the school for a long time, I have practically lived through everything that has happened during this long period. To compare from the past to today, it is a significant improvement. We perceive this improvement, and we hope that the students will follow this change, this renewal. A beautiful school; the government deserves congratulations. I can even guarantee that it is the most beautiful school in the municipality of Colares. Today, working in a completely modern school also gives a boost to teach, to be here at school with the students. We feel more motivated. It is a change," said the teacher.

New unit and Ciseb - In less than a week, this is the second school that the State delivers. With an investment of R$ 10,223,506.78, last Tuesday (6) the Augusto Meira Full-Time State School was delivered in Belém, benefiting more than 500 high school students. The unit has 30 classrooms and multidisciplinary rooms for specific classes, in addition to the third unit of the Center for Innovation and Sustainability of Basic Education (Ciseb).

The culture coordinator and community leader Edilena Amaral Saraiva expressed her happiness in having a well-structured and computerized school in the community now. "We want to thank God for this historic moment for our Fazenda community. Thank you to our Governor Helder Barbalho for committing to this community to finish this beautiful school. For us, residents, it is a very important moment. Our governor committed to this community that he would finish. And the Lucila Brasil School has now been realized. May God bless him, so that he can bring more projects to develop our municipality of Colares," emphasized Edilena Saraiva.
