Seduc begins construction of the new State Education Plan that will guide public policies until 2035 in Pará
The first meeting of the Management Committee presented a work plan with ongoing actions and partnership articulation to ensure quality and equitable education throughout the state

The State Department of Education of Pará (Seduc) began, this Wednesday (7), the construction of the new State Education Plan 2025–2035, with the first meeting of the Management Committee, at the headquarters of the department in Belém. The meeting marked the beginning of the coordinated actions that are already starting to organize the process of listening, diagnosis, and formulation of the guidelines that will guide the educational policy of Pará for the coming years.
With the presentation of the work plan, the State advances in mobilizing representative entities and strengthens institutional partnerships that will ensure the realization of the right to quality, inclusive, and equitable education throughout the Pará territory.
“Today we held the first meeting of the entities that make up the Management Committee. We are still in the phase of constituting representatives from each institution, in addition to defining the regulations of the State Education Forum and the action schedule. This agenda has already begun and extends until June 2026, with stages such as municipal and regional listening, construction of diagnoses, and definition of priorities. We are taking the first steps to ensure the next 10 years of education in the State of Pará,” explained the Deputy Secretary of Collaboration Regime of Seduc, Diego Maia.
Active participation and listening from municipalities
Coordinated by Seduc, through Sarc, the Management Committee is also composed of representatives from Undime-PA (National Union of Municipal Education Directors), Uncme-PA (National Union of Municipal Education Councils), State Education Forum (FEE), and the State Council of Education of Pará (CEE).

According to Diego Maia, the process already has defined schedules for the coming months. “Still in June, Seduc, in partnership with the Intersectoral Articulation Secretariat and the Education Systems (Sase/MEC), will promote a large meeting in Belém, bringing together all these entities for training aimed at creating municipal forums. Before that, we will organize the regional forums in person,” he informed.
Plan with Pará identity
The state coordinator of Uncme, Professor Nazaré Reis, emphasized that the plan will be built with broad participation from municipalities and should reflect the diversity of Pará:
“Today we began outlining a work proposal for the construction of the Decennial Plan 2025–2035. The idea is to be closer to the 144 municipalities, assisting each one so that this plan has a local identity and reflects the specificities of each territory. Our commitment is to build a text that values the diversity of our state and contributes, in fact, to the development of education in Pará,” she highlighted.
