In this Mother's Week, the ParáPaz Foundation is holding a special program at UsiPaz Prof. Amintas Pinheiro, in Icuí-Guajará, Ananindeua, offering free courses focused on entrepreneurship and income generation. An opportunity for participants to acquire new knowledge and transform their lives, both personally and professionally.

One of them is the bio-jewelry course, which teaches students to transform natural materials into handcrafted pieces ready for sale. Conducted in partnership with Senar, the course lasts 40 hours and has 20 students. It is an incentive for sustainability, showing that natural resources can be used consciously while generating income.

Another initiative is the women's haircut course, conducted in partnership with Studio Lene Munhoz. In two days of training, 20 students learn practical techniques that allow them to work in the beauty field, either as entrepreneurs or professionals in salons. The closing ceremony, scheduled for Thursday (08), will be a moment of celebration, with the delivery of certificates and the offering of free services for mothers, reinforcing the commitment to valuing women.

The program continues with the cupcake workshop, an opportunity to learn in the culinary field. With 30 participants, the workshop is an introduction to the world of confectionery, showing that with knowledge and dedication, it is possible to turn the kitchen into a source of income.

“We are holding this week in honor of mothers because we know how important it is to give opportunities to these brave women not only to be honored but also to have the chance to change their stories through learning,” commented Guilherme Silva, coordinator of ParáPaz at UsiPaz in Icuí-Guajará.

For Elke Lima, 49, the course represents more than a new skill. Even with her husband already working in the production of bio-jewelry, she decided to enroll to increase the family's income and, at the same time, as a form of therapy.

“Here we are having great learning opportunities. Bio-jewelry is on the rise, and even though my husband already works in this area, I decided to enroll. It is my first experience with the material, and we learn not only to make money but also as a form of therapy. We learn new techniques because the product needs to be well produced,” highlighted Elke.
