The Pará Hemotherapy and Hematology Center Foundation (Hemopa) held a blood donation campaign on Tuesday (6) at the General Hospital of Belém, located in the Umarizal neighborhood. The initiative reinforces the commitment to the population and contributes to the supply of blood stocks.

The action, which has become traditional in the Hemopa Foundation's calendar, had a positive impact and was considered very beneficial. Strengthening the partnership with the hospital is essential to encourage staff and collaborators to participate in the solidarity act of blood donation.

Colonel Barletta, director of the General Hospital of Belém, felt a sense of mission accomplished: "Without a doubt, it was a very relevant moment for all of us."

Colonel Barletta, director of the General Hospital of Belém, highlighted the spontaneous participation of the attendees. "In my view, the action was very productive. The demand was absolutely spontaneous, which is very significant for both our hospital and this important blood center in the Amazon." He concluded with a sense of mission accomplished: "Without a doubt, it was a very relevant moment for all of us."

Social worker of the Hemopa Foundation, Lilian Bouth. "Our goal is to ensure that the blood supply is available for those who need it most."

The social worker of the Hemopa Foundation, Lilian Bouth, also emphasized the importance of the partnership. "Establishing and strengthening this bond with the hospital is essential to encourage its staff and collaborators to contribute to blood donation. Our goal is to keep the stocks replenished and ensure that blood is available for those who need it most," she concluded.

Among the donors, health professional Gabriella Melo shared her personal motivation. "Donating blood has always been a very emotional experience for me. I have been a donor for quite some time, and it all started when a very dear friend urgently needed blood. At that moment, I realized how much this simple gesture can make a difference between life and death." She ended with an inspiring message: "Even without knowing who will receive my donation, just knowing that I am helping someone, that I might be saving a life, is already extremely rewarding. It fills my heart and gives me even more purpose as a health professional and as a human being."
