Next week, on December 3 and 4, Theatro da Paz will host concerts by the Amazonian Youth Orchestra - Echoes of the Amazon, conducted by maestros Miguel Campos Neto (Brazil) and Franck Bilot (France), at 8 PM, with free admission.

The initiative consists of a vast cultural cooperation project between Brazil and French Guiana, produced by the Pará Academy of Music, and will bring together 77 young musicians, including students from the School of Music of the Federal University of Pará (Emufpa), the Carlos Gomes Foundation in Belém, and municipal music schools in Saint-Laurent du Maroni and Kourou, selected by the Conservatoire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre de Guyane.

The project aims to permanently integrate young people from both nations into orchestral training, valuing Amazonian heritage and strengthening cultural ties. In addition to affirming the commitment to strengthening the bonds between youth, culture, and territory, it celebrates international integration and the construction of a more sustainable and supportive future.

The main focus is the creation of new works by four composers from different parts of the world, namely: Cibelle Donza (Brazil), Denis Lapassion, Fabrice Pierrat (French Guiana), and Pierre Thilloy (France). The works address themes such as ancestry, cultural dialogues, ecology, and the Amazonian future, anchoring in the sounds of the forest.

The action is presented by the Ministry of Culture, Conservatoire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre de Guyane, and is supported by the Institut Français, the Committee of Sponsors of the France–Brazil Season 2025, and in Brazil, sponsored by Banco da Amazônia and CNP Seguradora, the latter through the Rouanet Law.

The program is divided into two stages: the first with concerts on December 3 and 4 at Theatro da Paz in Belém; the second preparatory stage for the concert on January 29 in Cayenne, and is part of the official program of the France–Brazil Season 2025. Tickets can be picked up starting at 9 AM on the days of the show, through the Ticket Fácil website and, at 6 PM, at the box office of Theatro da Paz, limited to two units per person.
