Semas promotes Environmental Conciliation Mutirão for the regularization of fines
From December 1 to 5, it is possible to resolve pending issues with installments and discounts of up to 50%
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for the Environment, Climate and Sustainability (Semas), is conducting the Environmental Conciliation Mutirão, a crucial initiative for the regularization of pending issues and the closure of administrative infraction processes. The action, which will take place from December 1 to 5, aims to facilitate the payment agreement of environmental fines, offering those fined the opportunity to resolve their situations under special conditions, such as discounts of up to 50% and installments.
The Deputy Secretary of Administrative Management and Technologies of Semas, Lília Reis, explains that the Environmental Conciliation Mutirão is a demonstration of Semas's commitment to promoting environmental management that is both firm in enforcement and open to dialogue.
“We want citizens and entrepreneurs to have the opportunity to regularize themselves, settling their debts with the State in a facilitated manner. This is a measure that benefits everyone: the fined party, who resolves their pending issues under special conditions, and the environment, as the collected resources are redirected to protection and recovery actions throughout Pará,” she declares. According to her, this is an important step towards building a more sustainable future for our State.
Search for solutions - Environmental conciliation seeks effectiveness in the recovery and protection of the environment, while also offering a swift and less burdensome path for citizens and companies with debts to the environmental agency. By participating in the mutirão, interested parties can obtain a reduction in the fine amount and the possibility of installment payments, as provided for in the legislation, allowing them to regularize and refocus on their activities sustainably.
The initiative reinforces the commitment of the Government of Pará to efficient environmental management and the search for solutions that reconcile rigorous enforcement with the opportunity for regularization.
