The XII Musician Week of Uepa has as its central theme Musical Education and Inclusion, on November 26, 27, and 28

The State University of Pará (Uepa), through its Bachelor's Degree in Music, is holding the XII Musician Week of Uepa. The event, which has as its central theme Musical Education and Inclusion, will take place on November 26, 27, and 28, at the Center for Social Sciences and Education (CCSE) of Uepa. Musician Week is inclusive in nature and is aimed at training, knowledge exchange, and musical education, encompassing professionals and students from the institution in celebration of this special date.

During the three days, the program will feature workshops, lectures, and moments of experience sharing, within the proposed theme. In addition to training, the event will have daily musical performances, with the participation of professionals already working in the music field, teachers, and students from Uepa. Those interested in participating in the program just need to fill out a registration form available online.

In this 12th edition, the Week has been designed as a welcoming space and has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusion through dedicated programs and projects, all aimed at this goal in the academic environment.

The Accessibility and Inclusion Center (NAI), of CCSE, coordinated by Natália Passos; and the Directorate of Inclusion and Student Retention (Dinpes), an agency of the Pro-Rectory of Undergraduate Studies (Prograd), led by Débora Folha, work together to ensure that this edition of Musician Week reflects on the important theme for the community and for the institution's reality, with the inclusion of various students and participation being essential for the debate.

The course coordinator, Eliana Cutrin, reflects on the fact that the music course has five students diagnosed with autism, which contributed to the organization of the event diving into this theme of inclusion. The opening, in the Paulo Freire auditorium, will feature the Inclusive Cello Orchestra of the UFPA School of Music (OIV-EMUFPA), conducted by Professor Aureo de Freitas, which is composed of neurotypical individuals, that is, people without a developmental disorder, and neuroatypical individuals, that is, those who have some type of developmental disorder, such as people with Autism.

"Throughout the week, until the 28th, there will be several round tables and workshops that will address this subject. We will also address topics related to musical education itself and the making of instruments for this purpose,” emphasizes the professor.

Rhythms of the Amazon
One of the highlights of the program is the workshop on the Production of Amazonian Musical Genres, taught by musician and student of the course, Félix Robatto. The activity proposes an immersion in the musical appreciation of the various styles, rhythms, and musical expressions of the region.

The main objective is to analyze local productions, identifying elements that can be applied in compositions, pedagogical activities, and music exercises, such as auditory perception, harmony, and rhythm. By expanding perception and knowledge about musical diversity, the workshop seeks to enable participants to create original material, demystifying musical production in the classroom, studios, and compositions. Recognizing that many music teachers also work in the musical scene.

Nationally recognized for his work with the rhythm of guitarradas and projects like Lambateria, Félix designed the training especially to sharpen the audience's senses. "The workshop aims to break with the simplified view, for example, that all carimbós, tecnobrega, or guitarradas are identical. By expanding perception and knowledge about musical diversity, the workshop empowers participants to create original material, demystifying musical production in the classroom, studios, and compositions. Recognizing that many music teachers also act artistically, the workshop seeks to deepen the understanding of local musical production, offering a detailed and in-depth analysis,” emphasizes the researcher.
