The government of Pará delivered, on this Monday (24), 1,119 new prescription glasses at the Usina da Paz Padre Bruno Sechi, in the Bengui neighborhood of Belém. The initiative benefited people who were attended during eye consultations and exams conducted previously during the "Por Todas Elas" program, which took place on September 9, also at the UsiPaz in Bengui.

While accompanying the action, the vice-governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, highlighted the social impact of the services offered by the program. "Today we are delivering the glasses, which are a tool that brings more health, preventing headaches and generating benefits for people to see better. It is more dignity and care reaching those who really need it," she stated.

Governor Helder Barbalho also emphasized the importance of the initiative, from offering consultations to delivering the new glasses.

"This work ensures that the population has complete access to consultations, exams, and glasses ready for use. We are implementing a series of actions to bring services closer to the community. Here, we offer ophthalmological care and also the delivery of glasses. It is a public policy that improves the quality of life for families in Pará," he said.

Among the beneficiaries is Adriana Pereira, 49, a resident of Bengui, who received her first pair of glasses through the initiative. "The glasses fit perfectly, just the way I needed. I was very happy because many people here cannot afford to pay. This initiative helps the whole community to see better and move forward with more confidence in their daily lives," she celebrated.

From Ananindeua, David Ribeiro, 37, a driver, went to the Usina da Paz to secure the benefit for himself and his son. "In my job, seeing well is a matter of safety. Now I can drive with more peace of mind. And for my son, the glasses will make a difference in school, helping him learn better. It is a care that changes our family's routine," he highlighted.

Created in 2024, the "Por Todas Elas" program has already accounted for about 190,000 services throughout Pará, offering more than 30 types of free services in health, citizenship, and leisure. In addition to strengthening women's leadership and access to rights, the initiative has already ensured the production and delivery of more than 40,000 prescription glasses to the population served in the itinerant actions across the State.
