Software Engineering Course is open for registration for Uepa's virtual event
The program will feature lectures, thematic panels, debates, round tables, and mini-courses led by prominent experts in the national scene
The State University of Pará (Uepa), through the Software Engineering course, is holding the II Software Engineering Journey (JES 2025) from November 24 to 28, with live broadcasts on the event's YouTube channel from 6:30 PM to 10 PM.
Registrations will be open until November 24, through the link available here, to ensure that students, professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts from different regions can participate in an accessible and inclusive manner. The event will be entirely online, expanding its reach and allowing people from various states and even other countries to follow the program.
Jailly Silva, a sixth-semester student of the Software Engineering course, is part of the event's organization. She explains that the activities are organized by students, with support from the course's faculty. For the second edition, participants can expect "exceptional speakers, with a focus on the integration of technology, sustainability in the Amazon, especially considering the context of COP30, which makes these themes even more relevant."
Participating for the first time in the event's organization, Jailly points out that "the experience has been quite pleasant, as it brings together all the poles of Software Engineering, from regular students to Forma Pará. It is also a moment for us to get to know each other better and work together towards a single goal. Additionally, it is very interesting to follow the entire process, from the ideation, the first sketches to the final stages. And, in a way, everything ends up exceeding expectations," concludes the student.
In tune with this historic moment for the region, JES reinforces its commitment to sustainable digital transformation, highlighting the strategic role of Software Engineering in creating solutions that combine efficiency, ethics, innovation, and social impact.
The JES 2025 program will feature lectures, thematic panels, debates, round tables, and mini-courses led by prominent experts in the national scene. During five days of activities, topics such as agile methodologies, DevOps, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, software architecture, security, technological entrepreneurship, green technologies, and applications for the sustainable development of the Amazon will be highlighted.
