The State Department of Traffic (Detran) releases the partial report on the issuance of National Driver's Licenses (CNH) in 2025, reinforcing the institution's commitment to modernizing services and training more responsible and aware drivers.

From January to October of this year, 121,678 CNHs were printed throughout the State, including renewals, first licenses, and second copies of the document. The number reflects the efficiency of the agency's digital systems and the positive impact of decentralization actions, which expanded the population's access to traffic services.

Modernization and agility in services - According to the general director of Detran, Renata Coelho, technological advancement and process integration have allowed for faster service and ensured more convenience for citizens. "Our goal is to make access to licensing increasingly simple and quick, without compromising safety and quality in the driver training process. The CNH is more than a document — it is an achievement that must come with responsibility and respect for traffic laws," emphasized Renata Coelho.

Among the most sought-after services are mainly CNH renewals, which continue to lead the demand, and first licenses, especially in categories A and B. The adoption of the digital scheduling and online tracking system has also helped reduce queues and facilitate users' routines.

Education and responsibility in traffic - Detran also reinforces the importance of traffic education as an essential part of the driver training process. Through educational campaigns and partnerships with Driver Training Centers (CFCs), the agency works to encourage safer and more conscious driving.

“Licensing must come with technical preparation and responsibility. It is not enough to know how to drive; it is necessary to understand the social role of the driver and respect the rules that ensure everyone's safety,” highlighted the general director.

Ease and innovation - The agency has continuously invested in the digitalization of services and the expansion of in-person service points. Through the agency's website, citizens can renew licenses, track deadlines, and check pending issues without needing to travel to a unit.

“Today, citizens have the autonomy to resolve practically everything digitally. Our commitment is to continue improving the system so that Detran is increasingly close and efficient,” reinforced Renata Coelho.

Detran reaffirms its commitment to modernization, transparency, and quality in public service. Continuous improvement actions are part of the management policy aimed at valuing citizens and promoting road safety throughout the State. “Our focus is to offer agile, safe, and accessible services, ensuring that each new CNH represents not only the right to drive but also the duty to preserve lives,” concluded the general director.
