The Amazon Foundation for Support of Studies and Research (Fapespa) was once again present at the 30th Conference of the Parties of the UN, participating in discussions about innovation and sustainability, which reinforce Pará's role in the transition to a green economy. The panel "Amazon Innovation Ecosystem: Fostering as the engine of the triple helix" was part of the official program of the Pará Pavilion this Monday (17).

Participating in the program were Rodolfo Homci from the company Kombucha and Noanny Guimarães from Cacauaré, representing successful projects funded by Fapespa, in addition to panelists Deyvison Medrado, scientific director of Fapespa, and Cindy Ornela from the Bank of the State of Pará (Banpará).

In this context, the panel presented results of fostering innovation in Pará companies, such as Kombucha H and Cacauaré, highlighting success stories that generated technologies applied to bioeconomy, renewable energies, and sustainable production chains. This reinforces the premise that business innovation is an essential vector for transforming scientific knowledge into socioeconomic and environmental impact.

On this occasion, mediated by Medrado, the strategic partnership between Fapespa and the Bank of the State of Pará (Banpará) was consolidated, aimed at expanding financing and traction of innovative businesses in Pará, with the objective of accelerating regional startups, strengthening the local ecosystem, and creating opportunities for scalability and internationalization.

"The partnership between Fapespa and Banpará aims to foster the development of startups based in the State, mainly thinking about a second moment of development. We know that the scale of innovation development is broad and depends on investments at various stages. So, at this moment, this partnership aims to support the increase of the technological development level of these companies. This is a strategic action, stemming from the action plan of the State Bioeconomy Plan and aligned with the purpose of the Bioamazon Valley," explained Medrado.

Fostering - With daily programming, the Pará Pavilion is a space for articulation and cooperation, where institutions have the opportunity to launch initiatives, disseminate research results, and exchange national and international experiences. Thus, the panel also highlighted the importance of connections with key actors in the innovation ecosystem, such as Sebrae, which supports entrepreneurship and the training of startups for access to markets and investments.

Guest Noanny Guimarães, founder of Cacauaré, highlighted Fapespa's assistance:

Guest Noanny Guimarães, founder of Cacauaré, highlighted Fapespa's assistance: "With this support, I was able to implement technology within my business, which allowed me to gain more markets and also opened up a huge field of development in my territory, through the implementation of traceability of our cocoa. With this tool, we implemented and are developing other technologies with this traceability data, which is allowing improvements in the territory," she explained.

Bioamazon Valley - Presented by the Government of Pará during Climate Week in NY, it is an ecosystem that includes initiatives such as the Amazon Bioeconomy and Innovation Park, the Amazons Museum, and the Guamá Science and Technology Park. In addition, this innovation model proposes strategies to encourage research, professional and technological education, among other initiatives already underway in the State.

This structuring initiative also guided the panel to consolidate the Amazon as a hub for climate and biotechnological innovation, as the presence and creation of new startups are fundamental to energizing this ecosystem, connecting cutting-edge science with applied solutions and sustainable business models.

"We addressed the innovation environment promoted by Fapespa, which has favored the emergence of technology-based companies focused on bioeconomy, biodiversity valuation, and social impact generation. The articulation between research centers, incubators, investors, and public policies is essential to transform the Bioamazon Valley into an open innovation platform capable of attracting talent, investments, and international partnerships," highlighted the scientific director of Fapespa.

With this proposal to directly dialogue with the axes of COP30, the panel sought to connect economic development with climate mitigation and adaptation, promoting productive inclusion and stimulating green investments. By bringing together public managers, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and strategic partners, the panel demonstrates concrete action, plurality, and mobilization capacity, consolidating a cooperation model that values the standing forest and contributes to the commitments of the Paris Agreement.
