With the commitment to strengthen the preparation of students from the state public network for the National High School Exam (Enem), the Regional Education Board (DRE) of Bragança, linked to the State Department of Education (Seduc), held big classes throughout 2025 to help students in the region secure a spot in higher education. Over the past three years, the DRE has achieved a successful trajectory in approvals, educational mobilization, and encouragement of learning.

Conceived by Professor Edson Matos, the big classes began in August 2023, aiming to offer intensive reviews, pedagogical guidance, and motivation for students in the region.

“The project was born from the desire to bring students closer to the Enem in a light, collaborative, and inspiring way. We wanted to show that it is possible to learn with enthusiasm and believe in one's own ability to go further,” highlighted the professor.

Overview - In the 2023 edition, four large "big classes" were held in spaces such as the Music Lyceum of the State University of Pará (UEPA) and the Auditorium of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), bringing together hundreds of students from Bragança and neighboring municipalities.

With positive results, the initiative led to the expansion of activities in 2024, with six large "big classes". The program also reached other municipalities, such as Viseu, Cachoeira do Piriá, and Augusto Corrêa, strengthening the integration among schools under the jurisdiction of the DRE of Bragança.

In 2025, the project reached its largest scale, with ten "big classes" held throughout the year, including two meetings of the “Caravana Enem Pará 2.0”, promoted by Seduc, at the beginning of the second semester. Similarly, decentralized "big classes" were held in Viseu - in the Açaiteua community, which gathered students from nearby locations; and in Augusto Corrêa, with review content and guidance for the exam.

Mobilization and encouragement for registrations

The DRE also intensified mobilization during the registration period for Enem 2025, through incentive campaigns with schools. The action involved teams of managers, teachers, and pedagogical technicians, who worked together to guide students and ensure that everyone had access to the information and means necessary to complete their registrations.

The effort resulted in a high participation rate among 3rd-year high school students, reinforcing the regional directorate's commitment to stimulating student leadership and expanding young people's access to higher education.

Intensive reviews and exchange of experiences

In the final stretch of preparation for the Enem, four large "big classes" took place, welcoming students from various schools in the state network, marked by learning, motivation, and exchange of experiences.

The meetings took place on November 7 and 9, focusing on Languages and Human Sciences, and on November 11 and 14, aimed at Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

On each day of the program, students participated in dynamic classes, targeted reviews, and interactive activities, aiming to reinforce the main content covered in the exams and provide emotional support in the final stretch of preparation.

The event featured participation from teachers in the state network: Edson Matos, Martha Regina, Adriano Vasconcelos, Deyse Abreu, Adelson Cruz, Humberto Fabrício, Jean Patrick, Rogério Galvão, Nara Magalhães, Igor Daniel, and Carlos Fernandes, from the state schools Leandro Lobão, Domingas da Costa, Cezar Pinheiro, Patalino, Mário Queiroz, Rio Caeté, Julião Garcia, Argentina Pereira, and Padre Luís.

The classes were also broadcast through the “Aluno Repórter” project channel on YouTube, providing equal access to the content and expanding the reach of the action.

Results that inspire

According to the head of the DRE of Bragança, Thayse Alvão, the continuity and growth of the project reflect the collective effort of the education network in preparing young people for the future.

“The big classes have become a movement of learning and hope. Each edition is a celebration of our students' efforts, the commitment of teachers, and the transformative power of public education,” she emphasized.

With the support of institutional partners, schools, and volunteer teachers, the “Enem Big Classes” of the DRE Bragança continue to strengthen public education and inspire hundreds of young people to believe in their potential.
