The Military Police of Pará (PMPA) presented, this Wednesday (12), at the Green Zone, at COP30, in Belém, a panel with an overview of the main technological and sustainable actions that have been implemented by the corporation in the State. The meeting brought together officials, representatives from strategic sectors, and the community with the aim of strengthening institutional integration and highlighting the role of innovation in enhancing public safety.

During the meeting, advances in digital processes were presented, such as the Electronic Administrative Process (PAE), the Digital General Bulletin, the Biopsychosocial Electronic Record, and the digitization of manuals, yearbooks, and internal documents. According to data from the corporation, administrative modernization initiatives have reduced costs, accelerated workflows, and boosted efficiency in service while decreasing paper use in administrative sectors.

Investments in operational technologies were also highlighted, such as the use of drones, neuromuscular incapacitation weapons, security totems, electric bicycles, and mobile policing tools, including the PMPA Mobile app, which consolidates functionalities such as e-police identity, emergency SOS, and vehicle consultation.

The PMPA also reinforced its commitment to sustainable practices, presenting actions such as the reverse logistics of ballistic vests; mounted policing in Marajó using buffaloes and horses; cycling policing in urban areas; and the construction of sustainable barracks, all aligned with a perspective of environmental preservation and reduction of ecological impact, respecting the peculiarities of each region.

During the meeting, the commander-general of the Military Police of Pará, Colonel Sérgio Neves, emphasized that innovation has been a strategic axis to strengthen policing and expand the operational capacity of the corporation:

“The Military Police of Pará is undergoing a transformation. We are incorporating technologies, modernizing our structure, and adopting sustainable practices that strengthen police service and respect the environment. Each advancement we present here represents more efficiency, more transparency, and more safety for the population,” he emphasized.
