On this Wednesday (12), the Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education (CISEB), linked to the State Department of Education (Seduc), received a delegation from the education sector to visit the spaces and projects carried out by students of the state public network.

Representatives from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Education Department of Amapá spoke with students and had the opportunity to learn about the initiatives of the space.

The Secretary of Basic Education of MEC, Kátia Schweickardt, expressed her enchantment with the technologies and actions carried out at the Center.

“Wow, I was enchanted by this initiative. First because I am also a person from the Amazon, I have worked for many years in Amazonas, I am now at MEC in basic education, and I have always said that the Amazon has a lot of potential to teach Brazil and the world. Not in the way knowledge is produced in the South and Southeast of Brazil, but based on what we have in terms of wealth, our traditional knowledge, everything that is produced here in the forest and everything that our forest people do, their technologies to conserve this biome. The initiative of CISEB is very cutting-edge because it combines these traditional knowledge, forest materials, with technology, and with the potential of our students and teachers here in Pará. So, I think it is an initiative that can inspire a lot, not only other states in the Amazon but all of Brazil. For us, basic education was a very important afternoon, especially on the day we are here, experiencing education at COP30, and I think it was disruptive for me,” emphasized the secretary.

The CISEB is part of the Public Policy for Environmental Education, Sustainability, and Climate of Seduc. The center has modern environments, prepared for the continuous training of teachers, and for the learning of students from the state and municipal networks, who will have access to innovative practices in their daily school life.

The Secretary of State for Education of Amapá, Sandra Casimiro, was also present during the visit. She highlighted the protagonism that the Center provides for students.

“I want to congratulate the governor and the Secretary of State for Education of Pará for providing all this for the students. We can already see all the feedback that the students are giving, developing projects, programming computers, innovative projects, and especially projects focused on sustainability, for practical use. So, experience, theory linked to practice, this brings the effective protagonism of our students. So, Pará is to be congratulated, I am already wanting to make this partnership with the state of Amapá so that we can also share everything you are doing here and there with our teachers, especially with our students,” emphasized the education manager.

The visit was conducted by the Director of Innovation of Seduc, Rafael Herdy, who highlighted the recognition of the Center as a reference for strengthening and highlighting students from the public network.

“For us, people from Pará, who develop projects here in the North, having this recognition from the Ministry of Education coming to CISEB, in loco, is a great pride, it shows that we are on the right track, it shows that the work being developed here can serve as a reference for Brazil and, increasingly, education in Pará is showing that it is capable, that it is powerful, that it transforms,” emphasized Rafael Herdy.

How to use CISEB - The CISEB service operates every day, with Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for students and Tuesday and Thursday for teachers. All schools in Pará can use the spaces of the Center as long as they schedule in advance.
