A care that prioritizes humanized attention directly reflects on user satisfaction and the improvement of health indicators. At the Regional Public Hospital of the East (HRPL), in Paragominas, the management combines technical excellence and welcoming, promoting actions that make the hospital environment more comfortable and less traumatic.

The commitment to quality and patient well-being directly influences user care. In the last ten months of 2025, HRPL achieved a 98.4% approval rating in the satisfaction index.

Expanded concept - One of the highlighted actions is the “Self-Care Workshop.” Idealized by the Humanization Commission (CH), in partnership with the Permanent Education Center (NEP) and the multidisciplinary team of the unit, the initiative aims to expand the concept of health care, beyond physical treatment to encompass mental, social, and spiritual aspects involved in the hospitalization process.

Through interactive activities, moments of reflection, and self-care dynamics, the project invites professionals and patients to experience experiences that stimulate self-knowledge, emotional balance, and strengthening of bonds in the hospital environment. The proposal integrates HRPL's humanization policy, contributing to a healthier scenario for all.

Comprehensive care – The Regional Hospital of the East has a Hospital Palliative Care Commission, which promotes, organizes, and strengthens palliative care practices, ensuring humanized and comprehensive assistance to patients with chronic, progressive, or advanced-stage diseases.

The theme was addressed at the II Symposium on Palliative Care, in commemoration of World Palliative Care Day - celebrated on the second Saturday of October, which brought together about 230 students and health professionals at Anhanguera College. The unit's management also conducts, throughout the year, campaigns, educational health actions, dynamics, and events involving users, companions, and professionals, in order to enhance the satisfaction of the served public.

Among the interactive activities of the “Self-Care Workshop” Project, HRPL promoted a bingo in the outdoor area, offering the opportunity to change the routine of the hospital environment. Retiree Manelito Soares, 67 years old, approved the initiative. “I really liked the bingo. It was lively, fun. Going out a bit, getting some fresh air, helps a lot,” said the patient.
