Operation Virtue 2025 concludes with arrests and inspections
During the month, 51,834 educational actions were highlighted with the employment of 103 public security agents
During the month of October, the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in conjunction with state security agencies, coordinated Operation Virtue 2025, promoted by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) with the aim of preventing and repressing crimes against the elderly, ensuring comprehensive protection and contributing to the dignified aging of the population of Pará. The operation resulted in arrests, educational actions, opening of procedures, and inspections.
During the month, 51,834 educational actions were highlighted with the employment of 103 public security agents. In total, there were 19 pamphleting actions carried out, 22 educational actions in digital media, 44 lectures held, and an estimated reach of 48,983 people.
The operation also resulted in police diligence with 85 reported complaints investigated, 454 victims assisted, and one arrest. Regarding the procedures generated, there were 155 Occurrence Reports registered; four inquiries concluded with identified authorship; 34 inquiries initiated; four precautionary measures represented; ten urgent protective measures requested; nine Circumstantial Terms of Occurrence and 8 technical inspections carried out, totaling 224 procedures recorded.
The activities aimed to raise awareness in society about the respect and appreciation of the elderly, encourage the reporting of cases of violence, and strengthen preventive actions that contribute to a safer and more welcoming environment.
With lectures, community visits, pamphleting, and partnerships with local institutions, the State reinforced its commitment to protecting the rights of the elderly and promoting social peace.

Operation Virtue 2025 - The operation took place in commemoration of the anniversary month of the Statute of the Elderly (Law No. 10.741/2003), and is an integrated action of national scope. In Pará, the inspections and actions reached the municipalities of Belém and the Metropolitan Region, Castanhal, Capanema, Salinópolis, and Santarém. Agents from the Military Police, Civil Police, Scientific Police, and the Military Fire Brigade were mobilized.
