Iasep announces changes in service during COP30 period in Belém

The changes aim to adapt the agency's operations to the logistical and urban mobility demands imposed by the international event

The Institute of Health Assistance for State Servers of Pará (Iasep) informs adjustments in its operating hours for the month of November, coinciding with the 30th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP30), hosted in Belém. The changes aim to adapt the agency's operations to the logistical and urban mobility demands imposed by the international event, which will take place from November 10 to 21 and is expected to attract thousands of participants from around the world.

The institute's hours will be reduced from November 5 to 19, operating from 8 AM to 2 PM. This measure covers all units in Belém and seeks to minimize impacts on traffic and infrastructure in the capital of Pará, which is already preparing for the intense flow during the conference.

On November 20 and 21, there will be no service. November 20 corresponds to the holiday of Black Consciousness Day, while the 21st will be an optional holiday. These dates coincide with the conclusion of COP30, and the suspension of activities follows the guidelines established for state public administration.

The changes are supported by Decree No. 4,464, dated January 11, 2025, which announces national and state holidays and establishes optional holidays for the year. The decree covers the direct and indirect administration of the Executive Power of Pará, ensuring alignment with large-scale events such as COP30.

The president of IASEP, Josynélia Tavares Raiol, highlighted the relevance of the adaptations to maintain service quality. “Our goal is to modernize and streamline services, ensuring more efficiency and access to health for all insured individuals. In light of this, we have made available the channel for requesting authorization for exams via Whatsapp,” she stated.

The exam authorization service will also be maintained in person, exclusively at the João Paulo II headquarters. Iasep emphasizes that insured individuals should plan their demands in advance and before traveling to one of the headquarters. Units outside Belém will follow normal service hours.

For more information, servers can access the Iasep website or follow updates on the Institute's social media.
