The State Traffic Department (Detran) started, this Monday (3), the registrations for the Social Program CNH Pai D'égua - Atypical Mothers, aimed at municipalities in the Araguaia and Carajás regions. A total of 700 spots will be available across 31 municipalities. To participate, interested parties must be properly registered in the Unified Registry for Federal Government Social Programs (CadÚnico) by February 28, 2025.

The project also establishes other criteria for participation for those who wish to obtain the CNH for free. Among them, it is mandatory to have proven Elementary Education, reside in Pará, and present a medical report of the child(ren) with the CID of the disability, issued by a professional accredited in the SUS network.

From the 3rd to the 5th, atypical mothers from Abel Figueiredo, Água Azul do Norte, Bannach, Bom Jesus do Tocantins, Brejo Grande do Araguaia, Canaã dos Carajás, Curionópolis, Conceição do Araguaia, Cumaru do Norte, Eldorado dos Carajás, Floresta do Araguaia, Itupiranga, Jacundá, Marabá, Nova Ipixuna, Ourilândia do Norte, Parauapebas, Palestinado Pará, PauD'Arco, Piçarra, Rondon do Pará, Redenção, Rio Maria, São Domingos do Araguaia, São Geraldo do Araguaia, São João do Araguaia, Santana do Araguaia, Santa Maria das Barreiras, São Félix do Xingu, Sapucaia, Tucuma, and Xinguara can register.

Interested parties can register for the Program exclusively online, accessing the website of Detran until the next 5th. In this first stage, it is not necessary to present documents; it is enough to correctly fill in the personal data requested in the virtual form.

The CNH Pai D’Égua is an initiative of the government of Pará, coordinated by Detran, aimed at expanding job market opportunities through the free issuance of the National Driver's License.

In the special edition aimed at atypical mothers, the proposal is to enable them to use the document not only to acquire a vehicle and facilitate travel for clinical treatments but also to improve mobility in daily life and create new income opportunities, especially in activities that allow for balancing work with clinical care.

According to the notice of the Special Program for Atypical Mothers, a Person with Disability is considered to be one who has long-term impairments of a physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory nature, which, in interaction with various barriers, may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others, according to Article 2 of Law No. 13.146/2015 – Statute of the Person with Disability.
