Empreende Day: Procon Pará guides entrepreneurs on consumer rights at event in Belém
The Directorate of Consumer Protection and Defense, linked to the Secretary of Justice, encourages responsible practices in the relationship between suppliers and customers
The Secretary of Justice of the State of Pará (Seju), through the Directorate of Consumer Protection and Defense (Procon Pará), promoted, last Friday (31), in Belém, a guidance action aimed at entrepreneurs regarding consumer rights. The initiative, carried out in partnership with the Acelera Amazônia Institute, was part of an event to encourage entrepreneurship and also included citizenship services, such as referrals for issuing ID cards and services offered by Seju.
During the event, Procon Pará provided copies of the Consumer Protection Code and educational materials, aiming to raise awareness among entrepreneurs about duties and responsibilities in consumer relations. The action sought to strengthen the responsible conduct of suppliers and service providers, ensuring greater security and transparency in negotiations.
Businesswoman Jully Miranda, who works in the aesthetics and personal care segment, took the opportunity to clarify doubts about her relationship with her clients. “I have wanted to make a service contract with some clients, but I realized that I needed to know more about the Consumer Protection Code and also about the work that Procon does, to have a safer and more transparent negotiation,” she highlighted.
The manager of analyses and complaints at Procon Pará, Diana Mainieri, gave a lecture on education and information in consumer relations, addressing topics such as abusive practices and good business conduct. “It is important to remember that we are all consumers. In addition to reinforcing Procon's role in this scenario, the idea is to provide guidance that contributes to a more balanced relationship between suppliers and customers, avoiding problems such as providing incorrect or insufficient information about products and services,” she explained.
The initiative is part of the ongoing work of Seju and Procon Pará to promote consumer education, encouraging respect for legal norms and strengthening citizenship in commercial relations throughout the State.
