Team from the 'Antônio Lemos' Base arrests man for aggravated robbery in Breves, Marajó
The Riverine Base, located in the Breves strait, carries out continuous inspection and approach actions in the Marajó region
Agents who are part of the security team of the Integrated Riverine Base "Antônio Lemos", linked to the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), arrested a man for aggravated robbery on Tuesday (28) in an area near the banks of a river that makes up the Breves Strait, in Marajó.
According to reports, the suspect invaded a residence in the early hours of Sunday (26) with a weapon, while another man involved in the action waited in a small boat to flee to Macapá, in Amapá. The man stole R$ 4,600, a hunting shotgun, and the victim's grandmother's retirement card.
After a complaint was filed by the victim, the security team of the Riverine Base began efforts to locate the individual. After finding him, the agents arrested him and took him for routine procedures. The suspect is at the disposal of the Justice.
This action reinforces the Riverine Base's commitment to the protection of rivers and the population of the Breves region, as well as the swift and integrated identification of criminal actions.
“The continuous actions taken by the agents of the 'Antônio Lemos' Base, located in the Marajó region, have shown good productivity, both in terms of drug seizures and the capture of fugitives. Once again, we emphasize the success of the strategy initiated by the integrated riverine bases to inhibit crime and intensify inspections on the rivers,” pointed out the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado.
