eCult+ Platform is presented this Wednesday (29) in Belém
The tool facilitates access to and use of public cultural equipment, with programming of spaces and links to services and professionals in the creative industry
With the support of the government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult) and the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), the eCult+ will be launched this Wednesday (29), a trilingual digital platform that aims to modernize the management and access to the cultural spaces of the State. The launch will take place at the Teatro Margarida Schivasappa in Belém, starting at 7 PM, with a presentation by Andrea Pinheiro and Trio Paraense.
The eCult+ (Cultural Spaces + Governance) is an online platform that brings together, in a single environment, information about the public cultural spaces of Pará and their programming. The system will be launched with over 70 spaces already registered and aims to facilitate the work of cultural producers, artists, and managers, offering transparency, practicality, and integration among cultural agents.
The initiative is a realization of the Foundation for Support and Development of Research (Fadesp); articulation and institutional partnership of Secult; and support from FCP and the city hall of Belém, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism (Semcult). The project also has the partnership of Open Society and the Institute of Culture, Communication, and Advocacy (ICCI).
How it works
On the platform, it is possible to search, compare, and request reservations for cultural spaces based on filters such as location, capacity, and infrastructure offered. The user can type the name of the desired space, select the intended date, and check if the location is available. The system displays scheduling options and allows the submission of usage requests online and securely.
In addition to reservations, eCult+ also offers an integrated cultural agenda, which gathers events currently showing in the main spaces. The public can search by type of event, location, or date, and keep track of everything happening in the Pará cultural scene, based on the agenda provided by the registered spaces.
“Today, anyone who wants to hold an event needs to deal with different managements and navigate various paths until finding an available space. This platform comes to simplify this process: in one place, it is possible to consult the agenda of the equipment, check dates, and access information for agenda requests and follow-up on procedures. It is a tool that facilitates the path for cultural makers and, at the same time, strengthens the articulation between the institutions that manage public spaces,” evaluates the State Secretary of Culture, Ursula Vidal.
Another highlight is the link to services and professionals in the creative industry. Through the platform, it will be possible to access a registry of service providers. The strategy connects technicians, producers, artists, and suppliers to job opportunities, strengthening the network of the creative economy and expanding collaborative management of culture.
“The platform also represents an important advance for professionals working in the cultural chain. That is, producers, translators, lighting technicians, set designers, among others, expanding job opportunities and income generation. It is undoubtedly a fundamental step for the appreciation and professionalization of those who, through culture, produce their livelihood,” highlights the president of FCP, Thiago Miranda.
