The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), concluded, this Sunday (26), the 3rd and final stage of the Paraense Skate Street Circuit 2025, a qualifying phase for the Brazilian Skate Championship, which will be held in December in the states of Paraná and Mato Grosso.

The 3rd stage began on Saturday (25), with the registration and track recognition by athletes from all competing categories: Children, Mirim, Beginner, Amateur, and Master, and continued this Sunday (26) with the events that defined the qualifiers for the national competition. The selection was held at Praça Monsenhor Baltazar, in Marabá, in the southeast of the state, and was partnered with the Paraense Skate Federation (FPS).

The circuit in Marabá showcased the strength of athletes from the southeastern region of Pará, focusing on the national competition in December

More than 100 athletes of various age groups participated in the state selection, which strengthens the growth of the sport in the interior of Pará and consolidates the circuit as one of the main actions to promote urban sports in the state.

Athlete Maria Vitória, 10 years old, better known as Pimentinha, was a medalist and qualified in the Mirim category. She celebrated the opportunity to participate in another competition.

“I found the competition very good, I really liked the track. And the event was spectacular. I had fun, did my tricks with joy, and I am very confident to go to Paraná. The support from my family is what motivates me the most,” said Maria Vitória.

Master category athlete Naldo Araújo from Castanhal emphasized the event's integration aspect. “The most important thing is not to take home a medal, but to take home the experience. Seeing friends at this beautiful event is rewarding. Just gratitude to the Government of Pará for promoting this experience,” he stated.

The Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, highlighted the completion of the last stage as a milestone for strengthening skateboarding in the state and revealing new talents.

“Concluding the Paraense Skate Street Circuit with this energy, in Marabá, shows that Pará is increasingly present in the national skate scene. The State Government has been investing so that young people from all regions have opportunities to compete and grow in the sport. This is how we form new talents and strengthen the sport in our state,” said the secretary.
