Codec begins negotiations for the installation of a specialized company in Pará
InterTank - which operates with regulations equivalent to those used in maritime platforms - is evaluating the installation of a unit in a strategic area, with easy access to the main logistical axes
With the expansion of the oil, gas, and fuel chain in the Northern region, Pará has been consolidating itself as a strategic point for companies that operate with sensitive logistics and certified movement of chemical and petrochemical products. In this scenario, InterTank, specialized in storage, transfer, inspection, and traceability of equipment approved for the transport of hazardous substances, has initiated negotiations with the Pará Economic Development Company (Codec) to assess the installation of an operational base in the State.
The agenda, held this Friday (24), marked the first formal contact with the company and addressed the prospecting of an area with a back area and strategic location, close to the main logistical axes, favoring future industrial and supply operations. InterTank operates with regulations equivalent to those used in maritime platforms and offshore support bases, providing solutions approved by the Brazilian Navy and aligned with international environmental safety protocols.
During the meeting, the company presented its integrated operation model, which involves manufacturing, maintenance, certification, safe movement, and logistics of chemical products, and expressed interest in bringing its infrastructure closer to the Amazon region, reducing logistical distances and expanding the capacity to serve the Northern market. In an exploratory manner, the available tax incentive instruments for strategic industrial enterprises in Pará were also discussed.
Strategic base - The meeting was led by the Director of Investment Attraction, Manoel Ibiapina, with technical support from advisor Evandro Diniz. For the director, the company's interest demonstrates the evolution of the State's positioning in the national scenario. “InterTank's movement shows that Pará is being understood not just as a passage, but as a strategic base. This is an initial prospecting stage, where we presented areas with back areas and favorable locations for specialized operations. Codec's role is to ensure a competitive and predictable environment so that investments find the best conditions to settle here,” highlighted Manoel Ibiapina.
He then reinforced the institutional positioning of the Company as a gateway for productive investments in the State. “Pará is open for those who want to invest and generate jobs. Codec is the gateway for these industries and accompanies the investor from the first contact to the consolidation of the implementation. We are committed to real development, income generation, and the arrival of operations that expand the productive base of the State,” he added.
With a structuring role in attracting investments, Codec continues to position Pará as a logistical and industrial reference in the Amazon, reinforcing the State's prominence in driving strategic opportunities for regional development.
