The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), delivered 15 artisan cards in the municipality of Santa Bárbara do Pará on Thursday (24). The action also included the delivery of certificates from the 'Qualifica Pará' program, aimed at integrating residents of Pará into the job market, who seek free vocational courses in various areas. On this occasion, 80 students, distributed in four classes, completed their training.

The event was attended by the Minister of Labor and Employment, Luiz Marinho, who highlighted the importance of building public policies aimed at generating employment and income in different regions of the State and thanked the partnership with the Federal Government for the development of Pará and the unity of the country.

Handicrafts - The National Artisan Card represents not only the official recognition of the profession but also access to new opportunities, such as participation in national and international fairs, training, and specific credit lines for the sector. For artisan Rose Mescouto, a beneficiary of the document, the moment was one of emotion and achievement.

“I produce ceramics, bio-jewelry, and lamps, and receiving the card is extremely important for me. With it, I was able to participate in the Tourism Fair in Rio de Janeiro, something that would not have been possible without this document. Today I carry it with great pride,” said Rose.

The courses offered by the 'Qualifica Pará' program aim to meet the specificities of each region, stimulating entrepreneurship and sustainable development. In Santa Bárbara, the training covered areas such as handicrafts, services, language, and production, providing participants with new professional perspectives.

“I took the administrative assistant course with basic English and I liked it a lot. I am sure it will open many doors for me. It was good, and I made many friends during the process,” said Monike Cardoso.

The 'Qualifica Pará' has established itself as a transformative program, promoting the professional growth of young people and adults throughout the State. With this delivery, the Government of Pará reaffirms its commitment to productive inclusion and the strengthening of local work and income chains, legitimizing the State as a reference in professional qualification policies.

"This moment is important and demonstrates our efforts for more improvements and development for our State, as we expand job and income generation with new opportunities through qualification and access to documents that will bring numerous benefits to workers, such as the artisan card," said Valdo Filho, deputy secretary of social assistance.
