With the aim of promoting the humanization of patient care, the Santa Rosa Regional Hospital of Baixo Tocantins (HRBTSR), located in Abaetetuba, in the northeast of the State, launched the "Tô de Alta!" project this Friday (24). The intention is to celebrate with the patient and their family the medical discharge, as well as to highlight the care and assistance provided by the institution.

The "Tô de Alta!" project was born out of the need to mark the moment of de-hospitalization of patients who had been hospitalized for a long time, celebrating this achievement and emphasizing the importance of returning to the family environment.

The Humanization sector organized the action, which reinforces the commitment to welcoming, well-being, and comprehensive care for the patient. The celebration began in the ward, where some patients were discharged. Staff and the nursing team formed a human corridor until the patients reached the local reception area for entering and exiting the hospital. On this occasion, the nursing team emphasized overcoming challenges, as well as the relevance of faith and care during hospitalization.

As they bid farewell to patients Maria do Socorro de Oliveira Tavares, 63, and Damiana Raimunda Santos dos Santos, 68, both residents of Barcarena, the project coordinators presented a handcrafted bouquet of sunflowers, a symbol of light, hope, and the beginning of a new stage in their lives. The hospitalization was a moment of care and attention from the health team, according to patient Maria do Socorro Tavares. This gesture reinforced Santa Rosa Hospital's commitment to patient care, establishing an emotional bond and ongoing care after discharge.

With great emotion, user Damiana dos Santos thanked for all the support she received and shared the challenges she faced during her hospitalization. "Now, I’m going home to be with my family, healthy and full of energy. It is gratifying for us who were hospitalized for a long time. This 'Tô de Alta' celebration symbolizes a new moment in our lives, with full respect for life,” she emphasized.
