With 529.9 hectares still available, the Industrial District of Marabá remains a strategic asset for attracting new companies and generating jobs in the municipality
The Pará Economic Development Company (Codec) received, this Friday (24), the councilor Jocenilson Souza from Marabá to discuss strategic topics involving the Industrial District of the municipality, aiming to ensure that the territory remains prepared to receive new investments. The meeting was attended by Codec's president, Lutfala Bitar, and directors Pádua Rodrigues (Strategy and Institutional Relations), Ruy Klautau de Mendonça (Technical Directorate), and Manoel Ibiapina (Investment and Business Attraction), who presented to the parliamentarian the technical, legal, and administrative actions being conducted by the Company to preserve the industrial purpose of the area.
Throughout the meeting, the strategic relevance of the District for the economic development of Marabá and the Carajás Integration Region was highlighted, contributing with public policies to maintain the interest of companies that are already evaluating the implementation of projects in the municipality. The industrial hub of the municipality has a total area of 2,886 hectares, of which 529.9 hectares remain available for new investments.
Currently, 30 companies are installed in the area, generating more than 2,300 direct jobs and 7,200 indirect jobs. These indicators confirm the productive expansion potential of the region and reinforce the importance of land use planning to ensure stability and security for investors. Codec emphasized that the preservation of the area is a determining condition to consolidate future structuring projects.
“Codec works to ensure that industrial areas are prepared to receive productive enterprises. Protecting and improving the infrastructure of this territory means preserving the development potential of Marabá and offering a stable and reliable environment for investors. The dialogue with the municipality, the Commercial Association, and the City Council reinforces this institutional commitment,” said president Lutfala Bitar.
The councilor highlighted the importance of the approach between the State and the municipal Legislative, emphasizing that direct communication ensures clarity in the transfer of information to the population and strengthens the public commitment to the development of the municipality.
A Codec delegation will be visiting Marabá on October 28 and 29, fulfilling a technical agenda aimed at strengthening the business environment in the municipality, including a meeting with the municipal secretary of Industry, Commerce, Science, and Technology (Sicom), Eugênio Nunes Almeida Vale, to discuss the renewal of the Letter of Intent and the update of the Investor's Guide and the City Council of Marabá, to meet parliamentary demands.
The program also includes a visit to the Industrial District, the Living Space, and Tecnored, as well as a meeting with the Urban Development Superintendence (SDU) to monitor the situation of occupants of part of the District's areas. With these actions, Codec reaffirms its commitment to prepare the necessary institutional conditions to consolidate investments and expand development opportunities in Marabá.
