Educators from Pará, winners of the Innovation in Education Award, visit Google
In São Paulo, the two teachers had the opportunity to explore new technological tools and participate in hands-on workshops on innovations
Two teachers from the State Department of Education (Seduc) represented Pará at the Teacher's Day event held at Google Brazil's headquarters in São Paulo (SP). Their participation was the result of the recognition received in the 2025 Pará Innovation in Education Award, promoted by Seduc, through the Undersecretary of Basic Education (Saeb), the Directorate of Technological Resources (Detec), the Directorate of Innovation, and the Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education (CISEB).
The winners, Taiane Novaes do Carmo, a Biology, Science, and Environmental Education teacher at Escola Marta da Conceição, located on Cotijuba Island in Belém, and Clara Araújo Salvino, a Science and Biology teacher at Colégio Santo Antônio, in the municipality of Alenquer, participated in an immersion promoted by Google for Education, which brought together educators from all over the country.
During the event in São Paulo, the teachers were able to explore new technological tools, participate in hands-on workshops, and learn about innovations that strengthen learning and student protagonism.
"It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Being at Google Brazil's headquarters, breathing creativity and technology, and seeing teachers from different regions sharing their practices reinforced my certainty that innovation pulses in every corner of Brazilian education," highlighted Taiane, author of the project "From Waste to Environmental Awareness," an interdisciplinary initiative that combines technology, sustainability, and Amazonian experiences.
Teacher Clara Araújo emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences and pedagogical updates. "I learned new ways to integrate digital tools into Science and Biology classes. I returned full of ideas and committed to sharing this learning with other teachers and students at my school," she stated.
According to Larissa Andrade Gomes Silveira, manager of Google for Education in Brazil, the presence of the Pará educators symbolizes the advancement of innovation in the public network. "Welcoming educators like them was very special. This award shows how Pará has invested in innovation and inspires students and teachers across the country," she emphasized.
