Sectet promotes workshops to strengthen the innovation and training ecosystem
Programming at the Guamá Science and Technology Park (PCT) in Belém brings together public servants and representatives of the innovation ecosystem in Pará

With the aim of fostering an entrepreneurial culture and boosting the training of innovative professionals, the Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet), through the Startup Pará Program, has initiated a cycle of workshops focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and public management. The activities take place at the Guamá Science and Technology Park (PCT) in Belém, bringing together public servants, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the innovation ecosystem in Pará.
The cycle is part of the strategic actions of Startup Pará, which seeks to bring together public power, the productive sector, and academia around the creation of creative solutions to the challenges of sustainable development in Pará.

“Our goal is to encourage an innovative mindset in all sectors, from public management to local entrepreneurship. Innovation happens when we can understand the real needs of people and propose solutions that generate a positive impact,” explained Renato Cortez, coordinator of the Startup Pará Program.
According to Secretary Victor Dias, the cycle of workshops reinforces the role of Sectet as a driver of innovation and knowledge in Pará. “These workshops represent Sectet's commitment to training people, strengthening the innovation ecosystem, and preparing the State for a new economy based on knowledge, technology, and sustainability,” highlighted the secretary.

Applied Innovation Workshop
The first activity of the cycle is the “Applied Innovation Workshop,” led by mentor Marcelo Magalhães, a specialist in consumer behavior and founder of Boaventura Lab. The training, which has already started, runs until November 6 and consists of two modules.
In the first module, participants explore fundamental concepts about innovation and identifying real problems, based on the Job To Be Done methodology. The second module addresses Value Proposition Design, using the Value Proposition Canvas tool to connect solutions to customer needs and the purpose of each business.

Upcoming workshops: Bids, Administrative Processes, and Intellectual Property
The program continues with the Workshop on Bids and Administrative Contracts, based on Law No. 14.133/2021, which will be held both in-person and online, with a workload of six hours. The training focuses on equipping public servants and entrepreneurs with the main aspects of the new legislation, highlighting opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises in bidding processes.

Next, the Workshop on Administrative Processes and Procedures in Public Administration will be held, aiming to enhance the knowledge of public servants and managers about the correct and efficient execution of administrative routines, aligned with good governance practices and public transparency.
The cycle also includes the Workshop on Intellectual Property: Protect Your Business – Brands and Patents in Business Practice. The training is aimed at entrepreneurs, managers, startups, and researchers interested in understanding how to identify and protect their intellectual property assets, focusing on strategic and preventive decisions. The activity will cover topics such as the fundamentals of intellectual property, common risks, and protection measures for brands, patents, and innovations, as well as include digital support material and practical dynamics.
