Sefa seizes 30 tons of frozen açaí and partitions
The loads with irregularities in the documentation were seized in São Francisco do Pará and Cachoeira do Piriá
State tax inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized 30 tons of frozen açaí, valued at R$ 262 thousand, on Tuesday (21). The load had left Ananindeua (PA), heading to São José dos Campos (SP). The seizure occurred at the tax post in São Francisco do Pará, at KM-82 of the BR-316 highway, northeastern Pará

“After analyzing the presented tax documents, we saw that the issuing company of the invoice had a recent state registration, with few invoices issued. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that there was no entry invoice for the açaí, which was leaving the state and had been processed by another company,” informed coordinator Volnandes Pereira.
The goods were retained and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up to collect the tax and the fine, amounting to R$ 56 thousand, which was paid immediately.
Partitions – At the Coordination of Goods Control in Transit in Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, 96 square meters of partitions were also seized on Tuesday (21). The goods, valued at R$ 98,059.99, were being transported with documentation indicating origin and destination in the city of São Paulo (SP), which raised suspicions during the inspection, as the load was entering Pará.

“The vehicle driver presented an invoice and after the inspection's inquiries, the sending taxpayer informed that the goods were going to a final consumer individual in Belém (PA), which, according to legislation, requires the collection of the ICMS differential rate,” clarified coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The goods were retained, and the Seizure and Deposit Term was drawn up for the amount of R$ 16,474.21. This amount was also paid immediately.
