Fans highlight comfort and safety during Re-Pa 780 at Mangueirão

With an audience of over 40,000 people, the Olympic Stadium of Pará, Journalist Edgar Proença, Mangueirão, was the stage on the night of this Tuesday (14) for the most played classic in the world: the 780th Re-Pa, between Clube do Remo and Paysandu Sport Club. The fans put on a show in the stands — highlighting the beautiful mosaic in honor of Our Lady of Nazareth, created by the blue team’s supporters.
On the field, the Lion of Antônio Baena defeated the Papão 3 to 2, in the 32nd round of the Brasileirão Series B. The goals for Remo were scored by Caio Vinícius, Pedro Castro, and Diego Hernandez, who scored a stunning free-kick goal in stoppage time. For the alviceleste side, Maurício Garcez and Wendel Júnior scored.

With the victory, the Lion has accumulated four consecutive wins, rising to sixth place with 51 points, just one point behind Goiás, who occupies the G-4. On the other hand, Paysandu has come even closer to relegation to Series C. At the bottom, the Papão has only 26 points, 11 behind Ferroviária, who is in 16th place.
The secretary of Seel, Cássio Andrade, emphasized the beautiful celebration organized by the fans and the security provided by the State Government to ensure maximum comfort for the supporters.
"It was a beautiful celebration both on and off the field. The Re-Pa is the ultimate expression of our passion for football, and the State Government provided all the comfort and security to ensure that everyone could experience this moment with peace of mind. We had about 1,500 public security agents working to ensure a safe and organized match, worthy of the greatness of our classic," said the secretary.

Among the thousands of people who filled Mangueirão, Remo supporter Elaine Bronze celebrated her team's victory and highlighted the importance of the structure and safety offered at the stadium.
"It was a beautiful spectacle, our classic is wonderful. I felt comfortable and safe cheering from start to finish. Mangueirão is getting better and better at welcoming fans. Congratulations to the State Government for providing us with this structure," said Elaine.

Meanwhile, dentistry student and Paysandu supporter Giovanna Mendonça also praised the security at the stadium, which gave her peace of mind to attend the game alone.

"I was able to come alone and enjoy the classic with a lot of security. This makes all the difference for us, female fans, who just want to experience the excitement of the Re-Pa with peace and joy," highlighted Giovanna.
