Jadson Vasconcelos represented Pará in the amateur category and secured the title in a qualifying competition for the Brazilian Skate Championship

The skateboarder from Pará, Jadson Vasconcelos, a beneficiary of the Bolsa Talento Program from the Government of Pará, executed by the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), won the title of champion of the 2nd Stage of the 2025 Maranhão Skate Circuit in the amateur category. The competition took place on October 11 and 12 at Praça Mané Garrincha, bringing together athletes from various states and serving as one of the main official qualifying stages for the Brazilian Skate Championship, which will be held in December in São Paulo.
Representing the colors of Pará, Jadson shone on the track and secured first place on the podium, reinforcing the good moment of Pará skateboarding in national competitions.
Incentive and recognition
The State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, emphasized the role of Bolsa Talento as a tool for valuing and encouraging high-performance sports in Pará.

“Bolsa Talento is a public policy that transforms lives. This support ensures that our athletes have the conditions to compete on equal terms with other states and to take the name of Pará to the main podiums in the country and the world. Jadson's achievement is further proof that investment in sports yields results and inspires new generations,” said the secretary.
Investment in Pará sports
The Government of Pará, through Seel, continuously invests in valuing athletes with the Bolsa Talento Program, which allocated R$ 1.9 million (base year 2023) in the first half of this year to support 193 athletes and coaches with significant results in state, national, and international competitions.
Created by Law No. 7,119/2008, the program guarantees monthly financial support for 12 months, allowing beneficiaries to invest in equipment, food, travel, and registrations, favoring sports preparation. In the last cycle, 21 sports modalities were contemplated, including two Paralympic ones — PCD Judo and Wheelchair Basketball — indicated by 21 sports entities.
With this benefit, the Government of Pará reinforces its policy of encouraging high-performance sports, ensuring conditions for local talents to continue representing the State prominently on national and international stages.
