On the night of this Saturday (11), the streets of downtown Belém practically transformed into a river whose current followed the faith in Our Lady of Nazaré. The Trasladação, a procession that precedes the Círio de Nazaré, gathered a crowd of devotees who thanked for the graces achieved through the intercession of the patroness of the people of Pará.

Women and men, adults, young people, and children, entire families participated in the walk that started on Avenida Magalhães Barata, in front of Colégio Gentil Bittencourt, and continued to the Metropolitan Cathedral.

During the journey, there were several tributes to the Queen of the Amazon, and each devotee expressed their faith in a particular way.

From the Estação das Docas, the governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, and the vice-governor, Hana Ghassan, watched the passage of the carriage with the image of the Queen of the Amazon.

For the head of the state executive, this was a moment of fellowship and communion among the people of Pará. "It is the so-called 'Christmas of the people of Pará'. It is a moment when we go to the streets to thank for the graces achieved through the intercession of Our Lady of Nazaré. May she protect the people of Pará and illuminate our State," said Governor Helder Barbalho.

The rope, one of the greatest symbols of this religious manifestation, was pulled by a relatively young audience. Many were thanking for passing the entrance exam and entering public university.

"This Sunday, I will be hospitalized for surgery. I came to the procession to ask Our Lady of Nazaré to guide the hands of the medical team. At the same time, I bring the model of my house. I am building it, and through the intercession of Our Lady, I will finish and have my home," she prayed.
