The partnership between the Amazon Foundation for Support of Studies and Research (Fapespa) and Cultura Rede de Comunicação consolidates, in 2025, another journalistic coverage with the live broadcast of the Círio de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré. The successful partnership has been ongoing since 2023.

Located in the center of the capital, the Fapespa building, overlooking Avenida Presidente Vargas, hosts the panoramic studio of Rede Cultura de Comunicação, which was designed for the broadcast. The studio features its own lighting and scenery, specially for the Círio de Nazaré, and places to host guests during the broadcasts.

TV Cultura will broadcast the Círio nationwide on Sunday, October 12, starting at 6 AM, in partnership with EBC Brasil and TV Encontro das Águas, in Amazonas. The retransmission will reach Manaus and 52 other municipalities in Amazonas. The main procession of the Festivity will be broadcasted throughout Brazil, allowing Pará residents in other places to follow the complete transmission on TV, app, or the Cultura Portal Channel on YouTube. The broadcast will mobilize a team of over 100 professionals. There will be five TV Cultura posts and five partner broadcaster posts around the processions.

“Broadcasting the Círio de Nazaré is more than a journalistic mission; it is an act of faith and commitment to our people. Rede Cultura de Comunicação is proud to bring to all of Pará, and Brazil, the emotion of one of the largest religious manifestations in the country. Each image, each sound, and each story told reflect the dedicated work of a passionate team that experiences the Círio alongside our viewers. Our special programming, both on TV and on the portal and radio, has been designed to value the devotion, culture, and Amazonian identity, showcasing Belém in its most beautiful and human moment,” highlighted Miro Sanova, president of Rede Cultura de Comunicação.

From Belém to the world - Considered the largest religious festival in the world, the Círio de Nazaré takes place on the second Sunday of October in Belém. There are 14 official pilgrimages that extend over a period of 15 days. On the second Sunday of the month, the main pilgrimage receives millions of people, who follow in procession accompanying the pilgrim image, which leaves the Cathedral of Belém heading towards the Basilica Sanctuary of Nazaré.

Marcel Botelho emphasized the importance of the partnership

"A partnership that takes the Círio to the world! The collaboration between the institutions ensures that we always have more efficiency and more benefits for our population. This is the spirit of this government; it is the path that teaches us our 'Nazinha'," said the president of Fapespa, Marcel Botelho.

App - The public will be able to follow the processions in real-time via TV and Radio Cultura. The event can also be followed through the KD a Berlinda app, from the State of Pará's Information and Communication Technology Company (Prodepa). To access the link with the broadcasts from TV and Radio Cultura, simply scroll to the bottom of the KD a Berlinda app and click on the “Broadcasts” icon, and choose what you wish to follow.

The app created by Prodepa in 2012 shows the route, in real-time, of the Berlinda with the Image of Our Lady of Nazaré in all the pilgrimages, helping the faithful. In the tool, which already has over 50,000 downloads on Android and iOS systems, it is also possible to take personalized selfies, share on social media, download Círio posters, access photos of the pilgrimage, and information about tourist spots in Belém and various useful links for information.

The first pilgrimage in which the route of the Berlinda could be followed through KD a Berlinda was the Traslado dos Carros, which took place on Wednesday (8).
