State revenue inspectors seized 71 motorcycles valued at R$ 1 million, without fiscal documentation. The goods left Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in Pernambuco (PE), destined for Belém. The action was carried out by the team from the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, on the border with Maranhão.

After the delivery of the fiscal documents, the officials became suspicious of the quantity of goods being transported. They decided to conduct a physical inspection and found 91 disassembled motorcycles in boxes. However, the documentation provided indicated a load of only 20 motorcycles, meaning 71 units were without an invoice,” said coordinator Gustavo Bozola.

After the inspection, the driver handed over other invoices that were hidden, indicating that the goods originated in Pernambuco and were destined for Fortaleza (CE). The documents were disregarded as they were presented after the start of the fiscal action, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued, demanding tax and fines.

Beverages - During an inspection carried out at the port of the city of Santarém, in Baixo Amazonas, on Friday (3), the team of state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa), from the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Tapajós seized 258 kg of mozzarella cheese without an invoice and 125 boxes of alcoholic beverages, totaling 1,125 bottles. The value of the goods is R$ 32,401.00.

“The inspectors approached a vessel that was being loaded with goods destined for the city of Manaus (AM). During the fiscal inspection, the presence of mozzarella cheese without an invoice and boxes of alcoholic beverages with an invoice from a company in Santarém was confirmed. Suspicious of the operation, the team conducted a diligence to the address indicated on the invoice and found that there was no company at the location, but rather a real estate agency. In other words, the company was irregular in Sefa's registration,” said the unit coordinator, Roberto Mota.

The case was reported to the Regional Coordination of Sefa in Santarém, which suspended the company for “non-location,” and two Seizure and Deposit Terms (TADs) were issued, totaling R$15,798.89, regarding tax and fines.
