Cidadania Station São Brás completes 19 thousand services in its first year of operation
In Belém, the unit reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Pará to invest in social inclusion policies, quality service, and the valorization of citizenship
The Cidadania Station São Brás completes its first year of operation this Sunday (5), establishing itself as a reference space for the provision of public services in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. Since its opening in October 2024, the unit has already provided more than 19 thousand services in a comfortable and efficient environment for the population.
Coordinated by the State Secretariat for Planning and Administration (Seplad), the model of Cidadania Stations has proven to be a success. The initiative is already one of the main public policies for direct service to the population, ensuring citizens access to essential services more quickly and conveniently, all in one place, which avoids the need to travel between different points in the city.
“Reaching the first year of the Cidadania Station São Brás with over 19 thousand services provided is proof that we have achieved our goal: to ensure the population has easier access to various services. This space was designed to offer more convenience, comfort, and quality, bringing together in one place services that were previously scattered and required time and travel, making life easier for citizens. Furthermore, the Station operates in a symbolic space of great historical importance, the Memorial Magalhães Barata, known as
‘Chapéu do Barata’. Our commitment is to continue expanding this project, bringing citizenship closer to people and strengthening the presence of the State in the daily lives of the people of Pará. The Cidadania Station represents a symbol of the care and respect of the Government of Pará for the population,” expressed the Deputy Secretary of Modernization and Administrative Management, Gabriel Perez.
A year of results
Throughout this first year, the Cidadania Station São Brás has offered services in various areas, such as document issuance, traffic services, social assistance, legal guidance, and support for public servant health. The significant number of over 19 thousand services highlights the importance of the unit as an instrument for strengthening citizenship and the presence of the State among the population.
In addition to the services, the space was also designed to offer agility and quality in service, providing users with a structured, modern, and technological environment.
Rafael Castro, a professor, visited the Cidadania Station São Brás for the first time and praised the modernization of the space and the initiative to gather various services in one location.
“I found the space very interesting; it has been given a purpose. The structure is excellent, air-conditioned, modernized, which is important. It makes it easier in the hustle and bustle of daily life to have access to other agencies, like the Detran, where I came to resolve an issue and also solved (a demand) at Iasep. The service is quick and excellent,” stated the professor.
Commitment to the population
The creation of the Cidadania Station is part of the strategy of the Government of Pará to bring public services closer to the population, ensuring more comfort, efficiency, and dignity in service. The São Brás unit is one of 11 Cidadania Stations already implemented in different municipalities of Pará, reinforcing the current administration's commitment to expanding the citizen service program.
“This is my first time at the Cidadania Station São Brás. The service was excellent; I was attended to quickly and really liked the space. It is comfortable and has several partners. I have already identified other services that I will need in the future,” said businesswoman Mayla Lobato.
Located in the historic Memorial Magalhães Barata, the Station brings together state agencies, such as the Civil Police, the Department of Traffic of the State of Pará (Detran), the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), the Institute of Assistance for State Servants of Pará (Iasep), and the Public Defender's Office of the State of Pará (DPE).
Service: The Cidadania Station of São Brás operates from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 3 pm.
