During an inspection carried out on Tuesday, September 30, by state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), an ultrasound equipment valued at R$ 216,683.12 was seized. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Carajás, in the southeast of the State.

The seizure occurred at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post when a vehicle transporting goods from the municipality of Varginha/MG, destined for Canaã dos Carajás/PA, was approached.

“The team conducted a document analysis and consulted Sefa's systems, finding that the taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS related to the Differential of Rates (Difal), which is due upon the entry of goods into the State of Pará,” said the coordinator.

To collect ICMS and fines, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 36,402.76.
