Pineapple Festival concludes with low occurrences and greater tranquility for the public
The police teams worked to ensure tranquility for the more than 80,000 people who participated in the program
The 43rd edition of the Pineapple Festival, held in Barcarena, had the support of more than 460 security agents, coordinated by the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup). During the program, 7 occurrences were registered at the Integrated Command and Mobile Control Center, and one person was arrested.
“For another year, we had our teams gathered, ensuring greater reinforcement in security actions during the traditional Pineapple Festival in Barcarena. With the presence of the Integrated Command and Mobile Control Center, we concentrated our activities, recorded occurrences, and initiated intelligence operations to monitor the public, avoiding risk situations and providing assistance to those who sought our post,” said the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado.
Prevention and visibility - During the four days of programming, the teams carried out visible and preventive policing, both inside and around the event location. At the Mobile CICC, the teams monitor in real-time the more than 50 video surveillance cameras distributed throughout the city of Barcarena.
At the Mobile Command and Control Center of Security, a total of 7 occurrences were recorded throughout the event, with one person arrested for disobedience and bodily injury. Teams from the State Department of Transit (Detran) recorded 8 traffic violations during the four nights of programming.
Integration - This year, the Pineapple Festival brought together agents from the Civil and Military Police, Military Fire Department, State Transit Department (Detran), State Scientific Police (PCEPA), State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (Seap), and also included agents from the municipal bodies of Barcarena.
