The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster) and the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Citizenship (CIIC), held another edition of the Job Fair on this Friday (26), which promotes inclusion and values diversity in the workplace. During the event, 910 people with disabilities (PwDs) were served.

The event was in homage to the National Day of the Struggle of People with Disabilities and offered various essential services in the areas of citizenship and employability for free. Among the services provided, access to registration in the National Employment System (Sine), job offers and interviews - conducted on-site directly with some employers -, issuance of the General Registry (RG), birth certificate, and digital work card, consultation to PIS, and in partnership with the State Secretariat of Public Health (Sespa), vaccination, such as the MMR vaccine and against Hepatitis B.

Vaccination was also offered in the action promoted by Seaster and CIIC

"The state government is holding today, through Seaster, another Job Fair aimed at the PwD audience, also offering various services, such as medical care, health services - such as blood pressure measurement, vaccination, and rapid tests -, issuance of RG and Secult card (State Secretariat of Culture). The entire program was designed to further enhance the experience, with cultural presentations, precisely in homage to the National Day of the Struggle of People with Disabilities, which was celebrated on September 21. This is another opportunity for us to strengthen ties with PwD users. The Fair is another moment for our PwD to enter the job market,” said Felipe Bordalo, coordinator of CIIC.

Participants had access to document issuance

Commitment - With immediate hiring vacancies in various sectors, including Services, the Job Fair reinforced the Government of Pará's commitment to expanding opportunities for the inclusion in the job market for groups that have historically faced difficulties in accessing formal employment.

“Executing this action aimed at the PwD audience is gratifying and essential, as we work effectively to increasingly enable opportunities for those seeking financial stability and personal growth. We work towards improving the provision of essential services, reaching mainly people in vulnerable situations, so they can have more well-being and dignity,” emphasized Valdo Filho, deputy secretary of Social Assistance at Seaster.

Cultural presentations were part of the program

The program strengthens the social role of CIIC as a reference space in promoting public policies aimed at inclusion and equity. The Government of Pará, through Seaster, will continue to invest in priority actions, contributing to a more inclusive society.

“Having this opportunity to participate in a job fair like this is extremely important for me, as it is difficult for those looking for a job to get a chance. But I was very well attended today. I felt welcomed, and the staff at the Center are kind. I even managed to be interviewed. I continue to hope to be called for a job soon,” said Rosa Marques.

Participants in the action were also able to interact and watch theatrical and musical performances, and enjoy aesthetic services.

Service: Those looking for a job vacancy can go to Sine/PwD, located at CIIC, at Avenida Almirante Barroso, No. 1765, Bairro do Marco, or Sine/Seaster, at Travessa Padre Eutíquio, No. 1308, Bairro Batista Campos, both in Belém, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 3 pm.
