Department of Finance (Sefa) seizes truck worth R$ 369 thousand
Vehicle coming from Abadia de Goiás (GO) heading to Barcarena (PA) did not collect tax rates for the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services
During an inspection carried out by the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Sefa in Carajás, southeastern Pará, on Sunday (21), a new truck, coming from the municipality of Abadia de Goiás/GO, heading to Barcarena/PA, valued at R$ 369 thousand was seized. The seizure occurred at the Jarbas Passarinho tax post on the Transamazon Highway, Km 120.
Coordinator of the unit, from Sefa, Cicinato Oliveira informed that "after the document analysis and consultations to the secretary's systems, it was found that the interstate operation had as its recipient a final consumer who is not a taxpayer of the state tax, therefore it was subject to the collection of ICMS related to the differential tax rates (Difal)."
"However, there was no proof of collection at the time of entry into the State of Pará. Given the irregularity, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 44,644.45, charging ICMS and fine,” explained Cicinato Oliveira.
