Action by the 'Antônio Lemos' River Base Results in the Arrest of 2 People for Drug Trafficking
Vehicle that would be used in the suspects' escape was seized this Sunday (21)

The fight against drug trafficking continues strong by the security forces of Pará. The River Police Station (DPFLU), linked to the Civil Police, arrested two people for drug trafficking this Sunday (21) at a port in Belém. They are identified as receivers of the drug seized on Saturday (20) by the team of the Integrated River Base “Antônio Lemos” in Breves, Marajó.
The investigation began shortly after the seizure of 3.8 kg of a substance similar to Skunk marijuana. The flagrant occurred during a monitoring action of the ship “Amazon Star,” which was making the river route in the Breves region, where the Antônio Lemos Base is located in the Marajó archipelago.

After identifying the receivers, contact was made with the civil police of the DPFLU for the arrest of the traffickers, which was successfully carried out. In the operation, two women were arrested and a vehicle was seized. One of the suspects confessed to the crime, and a third individual, who was assisting in transporting the accused, managed to escape.
The arrests demonstrate the integration, commitment, effectiveness, and realization of the actions of the agencies that make up the Public Security of Pará, as highlighted by the Secretary of Public Security, Ualame Machado.

“I would like to congratulate the security forces for the excellent work done in seizing 3.8 kg of drugs, arresting the two women, and seizing the vehicle. This action demonstrates the professionalism and dedication of our agents, tireless in the fight against crime, protecting our community. The success of this operation represents an important blow against drug trafficking and contributes to building a safer Pará for everyone,” he stated.
