The Civil Police began, this Saturday (20), the 'Operation Piracema', a civic-social action officially launched by the State Government on September 16, which guarantees the free issuance of the new National Identity Card (CIN) for professional fishermen. The operation started simultaneously at the hydro terminal in Soure, in Marajó, and at the Regional Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins building in Abaetetuba, bringing together identification teams to serve the target audience.

The General Delegate, Raimundo Benassuly, emphasizes the importance of the action. "The start of this phase of Operation Piracema represents the State Government's commitment to bring citizenship to those who need it most. The new CIN will ensure more security for identification documents and facilitate access to the fishing insurance, which is so important for the livelihood of fishermen's families," he explained.

In Abaetetuba, 35 servers and 25 service kits were mobilized to reach the daily goal of approximately 800 documents issued by Thursday (25). In Soure, the expectation is to maintain the number of services until Friday (26).

According to Jorge Almeida, director of the Directorate of Service and Identification (DIDEM), the teams are ready to ensure agile and efficient service. "The participation of DIDEM is essential to guarantee the reliability of the process. Our fingerprint experts are prepared to act with agility and precision, ensuring that each fisherman receives a secure and valid document to access their rights," he highlighted.

The new National Identity Card represents a technological advancement. In addition to the physical version, the document will also be available in digital format through the gov.br app, similar to the Digital CNH, which ensures greater practicality and combats fraud.

After the stages carried out in Abaetetuba and Soure, the operation will advance to other municipalities in Pará, such as Cametá and Salvaterra, in a schedule that covers various regions of the State. The initiative is itinerant and will extend throughout Pará.
