The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), celebrated another significant result in the school sports scene. This week, the women's futsal team won the gold medal in the third division of the Caixa Youth Games, also securing unprecedented access to the national second division. In women's basketball, the Pará athletes secured the bronze medal and trophy.

In the final against São Paulo, the regular time ended in a 1-1 draw. In the penalties, after a balanced series, young Ana Braga shone by converting her kick in the alternates and benefited from the opponent's mistake, confirming the title for Pará.

Coach Dhones Oliveira highlighted the group's overcoming. “We entered with three injured girls, we spent the night treating and caring for them, and achieving success is very gratifying. The penalty is an absurd sensation, a crazy lottery, but thank God we were blessed and achieved victory,” he said.

He also thanked the support received. “The Government of Pará, through Seel, brought us to the competition and provided all this backing. This support was fundamental for the achievement,” he added.

The author of the title goal, Ana Braga, emphasized the unity of the team. “We deserve everything. Thank God we achieved access and reached the final to make a beautiful story. It was days away from our family, but it was worth it. Now it's time to return to Pará with the gold medal and access to the second division,” she stated.

So far, Pará has already accumulated medals in different sports:

“These achievements show how much Pará sports are growing and strengthening at the national level. Our young athletes are talented, dedicated, and deserve this recognition. The Government of Pará continues to invest in structure and support so that more and more talents can emerge and represent the state with pride,” he emphasized.
