HGT mobilizes users, companions, and collaborators in actions aimed at patient safety
The unit's goal is to prioritize safety at all stages of child development
The General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT), through the Patient Quality and Safety Center (NQSP), held a week of actions aimed at users, companions, and collaborators, reinforcing the importance of safe care from birth to pediatric follow-up. The mobilization is aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health and aims to provide users in the region with quality assistance that prioritizes safety at all stages of child development.

The activities began on Monday (15) and will continue until Sunday (21). Within the program, the theme of child care received special attention. One of the highlights was the discussion circle with pregnant women, new mothers, and their companions, mediated by pediatrician Bruno Fernandes. During the meeting, essential care for newborns and children was reinforced, and the assistance services offered by the hospital were presented. A total of about 20 people participated, including professionals and users.
During the discussion circle, the pregnant women shared their perceptions about the initiative. Maria Eduarda Silva, 28 years old, eight months pregnant, highlighted the importance of the moment. "Having this space within the hospital was very good. Many times we arrive full of doubts for a consultation or something like that. Being able to hear directly from the professionals about the care for the baby and also exchange experiences with other pregnant women and mothers gave me more security and tranquility for this moment in my life, which is motherhood," she stated.
The Executive Director of HGT, Eduardo Pereira, emphasized the relevance of the mobilization for strengthening the safety culture at the site. "The campaign reinforces the hospital's commitment to providing safe and quality care, aligned with national and international guidelines. It is essential that all professionals recognize themselves as part of this process, as safety is a value that should guide every stage of the assistance provided," highlighted the manager.
