Inspection in Oriximiná seizes nearly 5 kg of drugs. Two suspects were arrested

The inspection actions promoted by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) through the operation "Protector of Borders and Boundaries", which has the support of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), resulted in the seizure of nearly 5 kg of drugs in the Cachoerí River, in the municipality of Oriximiná. The narcotics were hidden inside a vessel coming from Manaus heading to Óbidos. The integrated agents from the Candiru Base acted in the operation. In addition to the drugs, ammunition was also seized and two suspects were arrested.

"Operations in the Lower Amazon Region are carried out daily and involve integrated actions coordinated by the Public Security River Group (Gflu) and teams from the Military and Civil Police, as well as the Fire Department, who work together to ensure that all vessels are inspected, thus preventing illicit cargo from crossing our rivers and streams without being checked by police teams. This time we managed to seize another load of drugs, in addition to ammunition and with the identification of suspects, once again we have good productivity and achieving positive results," said the head of Segup.

Occurrence - The joint action between the agents of the Public Security River Group (Gflu), along with a team from the Military Police, conducted an approach on the vessel "Obidense", which was navigating the Amazon River near the city of Oriximiná, Pará. The teams identified, with the help of a sniffer dog, near the vessel's monitoring system, the material containing 1.200 kg of skank and an additional 3.700 kg of Oxi, totaling 4.900 kg of drugs.

The police teams also found a box containing 10 rounds of ammunition that were being hidden by two men who were arrested in the act. The material found, as well as the identified suspects, were taken to the Oriximiná Police Station for the necessary procedures.
